Robert was born in Havana, Cuba. In 1957, his father, Samuel Grabb, moved the family to Miami, Florida, so he could pursue his medical education. Samuel's plan was to move his family back to Cuba after his three years of medical study. However, circumstances changed drastically. As a result, the Grabb family remained in the United States. In 1962, the family moved from Miami to Tucson, Arizona.
Robert attended high school, college, and law school in Tucson. He obtained his Juris Doctorate (law degree) in 1983. Robert's parents always stressed the importance of education and hard work. Robert's younger brother, Jimmy Grabb, achieved fame in his own right by being ranked as the best doubles tennis player in the world on several occasions. Robert followed his passion and chose to become a personal injury lawyer and has been defending the rights of Tucson injury victims ever since.
After working for several other law firms over the course of a decade, Robert decided to open his own firm in 1994. Robert was one of the attorneys for Rowland in Rowland v. Great State Insurance. In this case, the Arizona Court of Appeals agreed with the firm's position that a workers' compensation carrier could not add the cost of its independent medical examination to its statutory liens. Robert is a member of the Arizona Bar Association and licensed to practice in the Arizona District Court.
Robert Grabb and Nann Durando founded Grabb & Durando in 1994 with the mission to provide quality representation to Tucson accident victims.
